Personally, I think this episode was just to give Asuna more screen time and to pander to a new set of fetishists. In my opinion, it really doesn’t tell us anything new as most of the info shown in this episode have been disclosed by the villain himself at the beginning of the arc. The parts that mattered were only the final moments of the episode where in Kirito suddenly goes “MUST SAVE ASUNAAAA!”.
Oh well, hopefully the anime will show something new next episode.
I agree. Though it was really part of the light novel and is “kinda” essential to the story. Well except for the asuna-nearly-raped-by-purple-slugs part. I just hate the fact that they skipped an interesting chapter.
Well yeah. I do know that the near tentacle rape was just fanservice, but that’s just too much.
