Having watched the anime faithfully week after week since it started, I can say for certain that this anime is truly awesome. Each episode always left me wanting for more.

This has been festering in a few days in my mind already. I love AKB0048. I just have to say that as much as I like the anime, calling Mimori “Mariko” feels kinda weird.
Shin Sekai Yori episode 22
The search for the most environmental friendly biological weapon is on! Psychobuster as it is called, is simply a strain of anthrax that has been heavily modified to specifically target humans with cantus abilities and it even has a 1-2 year cooldown to help in post war clean up! I applaud the vanilla naming sense of the author for the ultimate cantus user killer.
Kuro’s philosophy in watching anime
Fellow aniblogger Kai has written a piece about his philosophy in watching anime. I think that most of us anime fans when asked the question “why do we watch anime?”, the answer will be mostly along the lines of “it’s cool” or something like that, but for some of us, watching amime holds a much deeper purpose.
Shin Sekai Yori episode 21
Not much action in this episode, but still a huge WHAM in the terms of the stuff the anime revealed. Seems my theory about Maria’s kid being akki was spot on. I totally feel bad for Kaburagi Shisei, being the strongest cantus user and all and Yakomaru continues to awe me. At the same time though, I think this anime is now delivering a subtle message with all the carnage it’s showing.
Shin Sekai Yori episode 20
God, this anime should stop with the Maria inserts already, it’s getting annoying. My opinion that the anime is doing a terrible job of showing that Saki and Satoru are a couple still remains.
