Lupin the 3rd: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna episode 11 – Feast of Fools

We have another Oscar episode. Mari Okada seems to like Oscar very much. This episode is about Oscar disguising himself as Fujiko and frames her for various perfect crimes in an attempt to gain Zenigata’s favor while Goemon tries to look after Fujiko.

This particular episode felt that Mari Okada was milking out the emo out of this episode, granted that this is Oscar’s final appearance in the series she did okay. This episode felt very shoujo-ish, to the point that Zenigata looked much more manly than normal. Personally, I think that Oscar would have been a better if he was a female character rather than a guy in a sense that she would have been a better foil to Fujiko as a female character, but I understand the need to please the fujoshi and BL fans.

The one thing that I didn’t like in this episode is that Goemon remained static as a character and never got more character development. Goemon is simply a samurai who can cut anything and is totally curious about Fujiko and that’s just about it.

Two episodes left.
