The anime started with Marii on the stage so it is fitting that it ends with Marii on the stage. Looks like the anime went all out with this final episode.

Joshiraku episode 12
Looks like Koji Kumeta’s ultra nationalism is acting up again, deeming popular K-Pop selling well, but nobody buys it. Koji Kumeta ultra nationalism, banzai!
Joshiraku episode 11
Marii the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nos- Wait, it isn’t even Christmas yet. Yup, another indirect mention of Ebizo in this episode. Koji Kumeta sure likes mentioning the guy.
Joshiraku episode 10
I don’t want to live in a world where Disney can’t be mentioned on national television. Joshiraku is back with political references and Koji Kumeta’s opinions. Koji Kumeta must really like his Ichickawa Ebizo references.
Joshiraku episode 9
Joshiraku episode 8
Episode 8 finally subbed! At least the humor in this episode is easy to digest for the normal gaijin otaku.
First up, notice that the cast of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei are the audience while the girls are delivering their new year greetings.
Joshiraku episode 7
Uh yeah, this episode was just totally random as ever. Not sure but I only saw two political references in this episode.

YARANAIKA?
Joshiraku episode 6
Joshiraku episode 5
Too much Ichikawa Ebizo references in Joshiraku. I do get it that kabuki and rakugo are Japanese forms of entertainment during their time and the only difference is that kabuki was for the rich and rakugo are for the common folk. But whatever.
Joshiraku episode 4
Man, each episode of this anime becomes more and more into the Japanese side of humor.
