This episode highlights Kirito and Asuna’s difference in philosophies. Asuna clearly wants to finish SAO as soon as possible while Kirito lives on the now, enjoying whatever the present brings him.

It is kinda funny that Kirito’s reputation of being the infamous solo beater is dwarfed to “who’s that guy?” when he’s with Asuna. I guess that cute gamer chicks almost always get the attention from the guys.
